Answer (1 of 2): Thanks for the A2A. COMMAND-OPTION-ESC was never the keyboard shortcut to launch the Activity Monitor application. By default, it summons the Force Quit dialog box. There has never been a default keyboard shortcut to launch the Activity Monitor application. You can either defin. See real-time CPU, network, or disk status in the Dock. Using Mozilla Firefox, right-click and choose View Page Info. This can also be reached via the Tools menu or with Cmd-I. Select the Media tab, find the object you want and click on the Save As... button underneath. Handy.
This is also useful if you want to grab a Windows Media MMS url and watch it in Windows Media rather than the browser (so you can resize the window).
Another thank you for this useful hint. It comes in handy immediately and I'm searching for new things to archive and fill up my dwindling hard drive space with as I write.

Now, does anyone know how to clear the Activity Monitor? It becomes useless pretty fast when you have to scroll past a tremendous list of items to find the page you want.
